Eric Schmidt Formally Announces Campaign For Delegate

Burke, Virginia --- Burke native and local businessman Eric Schmidt announced today, April 03, that he plans to officially seek the Democratic nomination in the newly formed 15th District for the House of Delegates.

Today while formally announcing his campaign, Schmidt said “Today I am declaring my intention to seek the Democratic nomination to represent the 15th District in the House of Delegates. As a Burke native, and a product of Fairfax County Public Schools, I owe much of my success to my upbringing in the 15th District. I am now running to represent my community that has done so much for me, so I can work to create new opportunities for everyone in this community.”

“As your Delegate I will work to help grow our local economy by promoting innovation and attracting more jobs to the region. I will ensure we are fully funding our public school systems to equip our children for their future success, to provide teachers with the resources they need and keep our schools safe. And I will always fight tirelessly to protect all women’s fundamental rights to make their own healthcare choices, and to bring lower prescription drug prices to the Commonwealth.”

“As someone who has built a global tech company, I know what is needed to bring folks together to accomplish difficult tasks. I want to take my leadership skills that I have developed as an entrepreneur and put them to use representing the families of the 15th District. I know first hand how difficult it can be to accomplish big things, but I am certain in my ability to deliver results for families in our District.”
